Morris-Jenkins has been in the residential heating and air conditioning business in Charlotte, NC since 1958. The company was founded by Luther Morris, who started out with a pick-up truck, a tool shed and an idea. Luther had a very simple business philosophy: do what’s right by the customer.

Dewey Jenkins purchased the company in 1990. After 32 years in business, the original "Morris Heating & Cooling Co." had 12 employees, a reputation for honesty and quality, but virtually no service division. 

Dewey has continued Luther’s policy of absolute honesty, but he also added another philosophy: make it easy for the customer to do business with us.

Like all the other heating and air companies in Charlotte, Morris-Jenkins was only open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and provided only limited emergency service beyond those hours, when Dewey took over in 1990.

 
Seeking to meet customer's needs, Morris-Jenkins became the first heating and air company to offer evening and weekend service at no additional charge.   As customer's needs have changed, Morris-Jenkins has responded -- making it easy for the customers to do business with us.
   

Today, when customers call us, they can speak directly to a live customer service representative  at any time of the day or night, any day of the week.
