Living In Charlotte

Charlotte is the boom town of the new south. Its continual growth has been fueled by the presence of the banking industry. Bank of America and Wachovia, two of the nation’s largest banks, are headquartered here. Charlotte is home to NASCAR’s Lowes Motor Speedway, the NFL’s Carolina Panthers and the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats. Golf is huge in Charlotte and we have more churches and shopping centers than anyone can count.
Culturally, Charlotte is quite diverse and visitors here are often surprised by the variety Charlotte has to offer. Whether you enjoy the night life or are looking for a quiet place to raise your family, Charlotte has an answer. A twenty minute drive from the vital downtown will put you in a quiet countryside with rolling hills and small farms.
Charlotte is blessed with a mild climate and outdoor activities are plentiful year round. We usually get only one or two snowfalls in the winter and it almost always melts away by the next day. Both Lake Wylie and Lake Norman are within a twenty minute drive and offer boating, fishing, water skiing and other recreational activities. By car, we are two hours from the beautiful Appalachian Mountains where you can ski in the winter or hike in the summer. We are also only three hours from South Carolina beaches, including Myrtle Beach and Charleston. Charlotte is a wonderful place to live and has something to offer everyone.
